Last updated: September 2026 · Deutsche Fassung
This English version is provided for information and reflects the data-processing practices described in the German privacy policy.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Niklas Kornweibel – NWK Automotive
Im Köwig 4
56567 Neuwied, Germany
Email: info@nwk-automotive.de
Phone: +49 160 98635479
2. General information
We process personal data in accordance with the applicable data-protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). This policy explains the main types of data processing associated with this website.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider: ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany.
When you access the website, the host automatically records information transmitted by your browser in server log files. These typically include:
- the page or file requested
- date and time of access
- amount of data transferred and access status
- browser type and version and operating system
- referrer URL and IP address
This data is technically required to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website). We do not combine this data with other data sources and do not use it for marketing. The log files are stored by the host for a limited period only and then deleted, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect confidential information during transmission. An encrypted connection can be recognised by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser.
5. Cookies, tracking and third-party services
This website does not use analytics or marketing cookies, tracking, web-analytics tools, externally loaded fonts or embedded map services such as Google Analytics, Google Fonts or Google Maps. Data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.
6. Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form, the fields you complete are processed server-side by a PHP script (send.php) on our host's web space and sent as an email to our mailbox info@nwk-automotive.de.
Depending on the form, this includes your name, company, email address, telephone number, requested service, vehicle, location or postcode, listing link, preferred date, preferred contact method and your message, as well as the page and language from which the form was sent. Form data is not stored in a database on the web space; after sending, it is processed in our email mailbox.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Consent is not required; by ticking the checkbox you only confirm that you have read this privacy policy.
Your request is deleted once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. If an assignment is concluded, the information under “Performance of assignments” applies.
To protect against automated messages, the form contains an additional field that is invisible to humans (honeypot). If it is filled in, the message is discarded. No further analysis of your behaviour takes place.
7. Contact by email and telephone
If you contact us by email or telephone, the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, telephone number, vehicle details, listing information, photos you send and your request) is processed to handle your request and any follow-up questions.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract) and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Performance of assignments
If an assignment is concluded, we process the data required to perform it – such as contact details, vehicle data, inspection results, photos, reports and invoicing data – on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Documents subject to commercial or tax retention obligations under German law (in particular Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code) are kept for the statutory period (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and deleted afterwards.
8. Contact via WhatsApp
We offer WhatsApp Business as a voluntary, additional contact channel. The links on this website are plain links to wa.me; WhatsApp only opens when you actively click such a link. No WhatsApp cookies or tracking technologies are used when you visit our pages.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, we process your telephone number, your profile name, the content of your messages and any files you send in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message relates to entering into or performing a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries via the channel you have chosen). The retention rules in sections 6 and 7 apply accordingly.
WhatsApp is a service of the Meta group of companies; the provider for users in the EU is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. When you use WhatsApp, the provider processes data under its own terms of service and privacy notices, over which we have no influence.
Please do not send extensive or particularly sensitive documents via WhatsApp unprompted; we will agree a suitable way of transmission with you if needed. Alternatively, you can reach us at any time via the contact form, by email or by telephone.
9. Disclosure of data
Your data is disclosed to third parties only where necessary to provide the requested service – for example to the external specialist company that prepares an agreed damage report on behalf of NWK Automotive (vehicle, accident and contact data and photos; legal basis Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), with your approval to the settling insurer or to parties you name when handling a motor liability claim, or to another service partner if you expressly request a referral – or where disclosure is required by law. Only the data necessary for the respective purpose is shared.
10. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the following rights:
- right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights, you can contact us using the details above.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for NWK Automotive is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz), Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany (datenschutz.rlp.de).
